I just found a piece of round bar that was the same size as the hole then hardened it by heat treating it and cooling it in olive oil. Solid as a rock

Rdm clutch plate hybrid'ed to a basic DLH SAF
Clutch and the crankshaft but shaved 2mm off. Better starts, better dual lever caliper braking on a felt faker. Quite happy. I had to drill and tap thread few things. Huge Improvement from a stock clutch plate! This made a world of difference in stopping from stop and go, high speeds to a red light stop. But also tuning my carb to a lower idle!
