Throttle cable?

Do you have a picture of the hand portion of the throttle?

Ok cool, test fit the cable in your grip first. Then look at the carb end and make sure you have lots sticking out, rotate the grip and watch the free end make sure it's sliding smooth.

Screw the metal "L" all the way in to make sure you have enough cable.

Not with the carb that I have. I have a Mikuni VM22 and the cable goes down in the top of it. It spring loaded.

Now hook it up to carb & see if it holds throttle slide open or it's all the way closed. Looks a lil short to me.

It's definitely too short. It's got to go through the compressed spring and then down inside the carb

I’m running a VM20 and it takes more than that…. 20-25mm or so more

Not sure..: it came with the engine kit
