Looks like the driven goes on the jackshaft. It replaces the sprockets and clutch originally put on the bike.

Afaik, all the phatmoto bikes have a jack shaft incorporated into the seat post. The originals did (2018/2019 models), as have all subsequent models. It's one of the main features. The off the shelf lifan 152f-3 engines used have no integral primary reduction like 2t engines, so a jack shaft is necessary
