I do that all the time and I am not even a Catholic anymore...lol...I converted to being a protestant from Roman Catholicism not long after graduating from a Catholic school many, years ago...lol...The order of nuns that ran it were called The Sisters of Mercy....They had zero mercy on my sorry butt whatsoever...I think they all graduated from the Marquis de Sade School of Inventive Torture Techniques, conducted by Head Master Torquemada, the Grand Inquisitor of the Tribunal of the Holy Office (otherwise known as the Spanish Inquisition)...lol...lol.

You need to match controller and motor volts ( 36/48

What I'm trying to say is controller on bike is configured to battery voltage rating. Inside controller is the BMS
battery management system. On my 48v battery the BMS will shut down to protect battery and motor.
