Back firing.

Just started back firing through the carb. Now wont even start. Did I jump timing?

Prob the magneto key fell out. Take off the cover and check it.

A fouled plug will cause backfire too.

As Greg suggested, check your plug for fouling. Any funny noises or anything besides the backfire? Any rattling or anything before it happened?

No. Ran great. Then started back firing. No unusual rattles or anything. I have BBR level 2 CDI on it. Maybe that went bad. But, when electronics go bad. They go.

It might just be the cdi. I have had stock ones that ran great cold, bit would chug and backfire when warmed up. If you have a stock cdi, swap out and try it. Let us know.

Put a brand new CDI on. It has spark. Same as the old one. Wont start or even pop. Plugs are getting wet. Wet wet. I took carb apart and cleaned it. Same problem.

Did you check to. Make sure. Mag is on right. Sorry bad post phone going nuts.

I didnt do anything to the magneto until after it stopped running. I put a 2 wire in.
