HOW TO: DIY Compact Air Filter

I use 2 stroke oil and the dust sticks to it that's why. The foam dry will block leaves and mud but not really dust and these tiny carbs don't like to be dirty. Rinse it out with gas every month and re oil. Easy, cheap and effective.

Im going to put on a big @zz vacuum cleaner tube and run it up front for ram air,,, at least it won't get back wheel dirt into the engine

Ok, so the first way of making a compact filter kinda failed for me . Either the flaps broke or they bent back and the filtering material fell out.

So I came up with a different way that won't fall apart, its easier and more compact. To the point I deleted the video of the first way lol.

Just pop the filter part off of the rubber piece with clamp, and just place circular pieces of foam and/or mesh between the rubber and the carb. You can cut off the outer rubber lip for more space if needed.

You could get sum 0000 stainless steel wool & stick in between the 2 screen elements.
