If they every get powerpacks right... and cheaper for God Sakes all of the "smokers" on here would convert to Electric in a heartbeat....... But for now we remain noisy and productive!!! BTW Keep watching revopower. If they ever come out with their wheel, I am going to Hybrid up one of my ebikes.

Right now, battery expense is the problem.

SLA is cheap, but heavy and short ranged ( although one way to get around that is to buy a YAK trailer ... replace the wheel with a front hub motor and put three full-sized 12V RV batteries in it, and make a pusher out of it ... heh ).

LiFePO4 is the upcoming tech ... but ****ed spendy. A Dewalt 36V pack holds 10 A123 cells each, but costs about $100+ new on the ebay grey market. You need at least 60 or 70 A123s to make a decent 36-42V battery.
