Stock hit 44 on my phantom on a small hill

If I had a straighter hill I would hit 50 no problem I hit 41 on flat land but for some reason when I let off the gas to turn I have to put the choke on before I can accelerate again if not it bogs out

Sounds like your running too lean then if you need choke to accelerate after slowing down.
 
But it's only for a blip that the choke needs to be on then i push it back down and I'm good to go it's strange
 
So I was at the biggest jet I have so I drilled a random one to a 80 and it gave my engine a decent boost granted I also drilled a couple little holes in the carb cover so it could breath 🫁 more the sun went down or I'd give it a speed run but you don't ride where I'm at at night people drive like morons on country roads at night
