My chain ate chunks off my clutch case

Hello today i was replacing some bad spokes and trueing the wheel and when i put everthing back it was really weird the chain had a continiouis popping sound and when i pushed too hard the chain falls off i wanted to see what it was and when i opened that clutch case i saw that my chain just ate chunks off my clutch cover.any help regarding what this may be causing thta my chain is eating chunks would be appreciated i have enough money to buy a new clutch cover and such but i want to prevent this problem in the future thanks.

Make sure the drive sprocket is on tight.

Just exactly how did you true your wheel?

Did you get the horizontal and vertical movements within a millimeter?

Did you check the spoke tension?

Did you also check the dishing on it as well?

Hopefully you replaced the spokes with one of the big 3: Sapim, DT, Wheel Smith.

i did it not so accurate it was a 1,5mm wobble and i did it with sapim spokes and the spokes are pretty solid and i trued it with a spoke tensioner
