Got new bike i cant figure out how to get front tire on with disk brake!

Got my new kit today haven't messed with the engine but am gonna take everyone's advice and thank you when I get to it. but I got the bike put together all except the front wheel cause it never came with a cable or instructions and I know nothing about disc brakes and can't find anything on you tube

It looks to me like the rotor is too big for the caliper. Can you post some closer pics of the caliper with the rotor?

I know nothing about these brakes and do not even know where the disc even goes

Just know yhe tire will not go on

There are pads in the caliper the disc should go between.bit looks to me like the pads need to be depressed in order to get the rotor in between them.

And does that white cap supposed to be on there?

Depressed does that mean loosen them?
