Friction Roller Keeps Unscrewing

paul at daemon says he will get a sample from his manufacturer from a new batch they are making him and send it to me. hopefully the flaws have been fixed

That's why you're breaking the roller at the clutch drum. The drive housing is twisting under power.

Even if the kit came with one strut, it is in your best interest to install another support strut.
 
2 separate ones would be fine, you just have to drill a hole in the right side of the housing. Shouldn't be too tricky to align. I've never had a problem with breaking rollers, yet I have the 31cc Huasheng 4 stroke with less than half of the power of the 2 stroke.
 
The BMP and Staton friction drives' rear support struts are secured by a skewer from a rear bicycle's axle. I replaced the struts and skewer with two of Staton's old-fashioned single-strut/threaded rod assemblies. These are rock-solid and independently adjustable.
