After Market Chain Tensioners -- where ??

I made the wrong call -- sorry bout that

Mountainman:
If you had looked at the rest of the bike you will see the whole bike is made of alum. why paint it? If you think its to big you could slim it down.

I made the wrong call there
no excuses
your tensioner looks to be more than fine

this thread has turned out to be
just what I hoped for
a place to come and get some good ideas regarding chain tensioners

thanks to the many who have shared
and sure we will have even more coming in time

have a blessed day -- from - MM

mine killed a wheel of mine at low speed, took out 1/4 of spokes, had to spend $40 on a new 1(more than the price of the bike..)
i drilled a hole through mine and put a 6 mm bolt through it and the frame, fairly solid but it is beginning to annoy me bigtime, going to have to go custom and replace it with solid steel roller
hm, anyone ever think to make the tension adjustment into the engine mount and do away with anything else besides sprocket to sprocket?

Stock tensioner (there are thick and thin versions- this is the thick one)- used as a guide, not applying tension. The tension is supplied by the spring tensioner made using the spring, arm and roller from Tractor Supply.
