Trouble shooting.

You must have tried to adjust that inner spring way too tight, that only requires a slight tweak, if any tweaking at all, hopefully you remember just how far you tried to adjust it to begin with and bring it back to where it was, you will need to back off the flower nut to loose again in order to bring that spring back to where it was and start all over again.
