Squish is set

Finally got the squish band set just right at 0.87mm. Sanded down the cylinder on the wildcat 80. When the motor came from CMB the squish was 1.2. So now maybe it will run a little better.

There's no curve to the solder, you want to check the squish parallel with the wrist pin to avoid piston rock and giving you an off reading.

So I need to put the L shaped solder wire thru the spark plug hole, then make it face the intake or exhaust side?

No, to the side of the cylinder. If you put in straight back to the intake then the piston can pivot a bit.
