Speedometer

I bought a bicycle that came with a speedometer on it. It used the cable. It didn't last 2 miles. The gears were plastic! How do I get a cable that will last longer?

It was probably old

Just buy a new speedometer gear and cable or switch to a digital speedometer that don't use a cable

I have a spedo that I bought used for like 5 bucks. It didn't come with a cable so I haven't used it

If that speedo isn't german or jap made I'd junk it. You can use an app on your phone too.

I sort of tried putting mine on since it came with my engine kit but wasn't exactly sure how to put it on cause I'm dumb and lazy

Mine is actually french. It isn't all that bad considering it wasn't even ysed, it was just in a zip lock bag
