Cheap and easy.. good working height. 24 inch hollow core door and 4 $5 buckets you can store easily and use for other things

I like my work at normal workbench heigh
I needed portable workbench that didn't take up any space when not in use,
Many moons ago I used one like this as a finish carpenter
I just use a couple saw horses and a piece of plywood

They fold up when not in use

The piece of ply is cut to 6' x 3' and also folds up, I cut it in half and put hinges on it

The workbench folds up nice and thin so I can store it along side the fridge

This workbench is all purpose because when we come home with a truck full of groceries
I'll set it up in the garage and put all the grocery bags on it.

Why not just direct to the kitchen counters...lol...One less trip to make to get to the kitchen...lol.

Sawhorses and my heavy Solid Core 3 foot door is where I do my auxiliary wood working. (My super heavy bench is also the runoff table for the cabinet saw). But when I put the hollow core door on the horses originally when I built Risky, many tasks on the bike were too high for shorty. I had to use a step stool to reach the handlebars etc. And I had to have help lifting it up and eventually I installed a block and tackle from the ceiling to get it up on the bench myself. This bucket height has worked pretty well this time.

This is my little helper. A set of forks and a steel weight. Construct time 5 min.
