Mini Apes

Put some Wald mini risers on my lightweight bomber bike, these things are really comfortable, and great control. I was going to do some BMX bars but I would've needed another stem. These were free, had em in my parts bin. Did about 18 miles and my back and neck felt great

I thought mine were called mini-apes...What are they really called then???

Your bars look similar to "Buckhorn" bars, similar to what was on Harley Sportsters. Ape hangers have some pretty good rise to them, thus the lower rise are ones called "mini apes." These bars made this bike way better than the standard MTB flatties, in addition to the upright position, the steel soaks a little road shock. This has become my favorite bike of the bunch.

Agreed. Mine are a bit taller but are very comfortable. My bars are 1970s sears handlebars I found in the dirt at a buddies house

I've got a set of those as well, spread is a little closer. I think Wald is still made in US? they work great in vintage Schwinn bikes.
