Loose Choke lever

Can anyone please recommend how to tighten up the choke lever on my two cycle engine? I have it secured with a rubber band but I want to sell it and the rubber band ain't happening. Is there a simple fix that anyone is aware of? Thanks

take off air filter and tighten the nut that holds choke lever a little bit until it feels right

Perfect.... I built it, then let it sit and it's time I sell it; but for some reason that lever became loose. I thought the fix would be embarrassingly simple. Thank you very much for your help!
