I like a large seat with lots of foam, but I don't like springs under the seat. The seat springs seem to cause a lack of support that causes butt pain. I do like a seat post with a spring tho.

BTW. Was doing a little digging regarding suspension seatposts; I saw in reviews that the Kalloy UNO suspension seat-post got decent feedback, and a good value rating (it's one of the $20-$30 seat-posts.) In addition, one of the reviewers noted that you can swap out the 'guts' of the Kalloy UNO with a new Tamer MCU Ride Kit (about $17, used in their Post Centric/Slick Willy suspension seat-posts) and end up with a very nice ride for a lot less money than the Tamer...

BTW.

Picked up a Kalloy Comfort suspension seatpost & put 20 miles on it today. Very Nice - it definitely smoothed the ride, and reduced the vibration on the spine. I'll give it a few hundred miles to see how it holds up, but I like it so far...
