So after all was said and done does anybody have an answer to the original question:
99cc hf predator engine with a gtc tc2 cvt
I would love to do this but the engine has a 5/8" shaft and the TC2 is 3/4". If the TC2 had a removable key, this could be dealt with with a spacer and a special key.
Any suggestions would be welcome

Does what appears to be a built in key on the driver pulley pertrude far enought to engage the keyway on the shaft? I was also thinking about using something lile that with a special key that would be wider on one side. But with what appears to be no keyway on the pulley, that will not work.
did you use that on a TC2?

Yes, I have used this with a Comet tc on a HF 79cc and it worked for me. I like a reduction of about 13.33 to 1. When the converter is at it's highest ratio it's output is at 0.9 to 1. A jackshaft is used to reach the proper ratio. Sometime an old Comet can be found on Ebay that's made for the 5/8" shaft.
