for some reason i cant load pics. that is cool. i cant load pics.

therefore i cannot contribute any further.

the motor's just sat in the garage after i tried everything.. luck for me, I found a brand new carb (the exact model hda-97) on ebay for $30! can you say derka discount? (pronounce in indian accent)

so i'm gonna work on this as soon as i get it, cause I wanna ride! i will post with updates

problem solved!

man, i'm happy! i put the new carb on, pulled it 10x and it started! now it purrs like a kitten

i had to make a minor adjustment to the lo screw. i loosened it, the motor wasn't getting enough fuel

in case anyone cares, i compared the two carbs and i think i found the problem

see the gold round piece? it's bent.. this is the part that attaches to the choke lever, which opens up the engine.. but because it's bent, it was getting too much air in run position and would not stay running!! (i assume air travels through there, it could be fuel, correct me if i'm wrong) but it was partially choked in run position and i think that's what caused it to die

i'm gonna hold on to the old carb and maybe replace the gold disc if i ever need it in the future

return fuel line

also can anyone tell me what to do about return fuel lines? the genius who fixed the scooter didn't put them back, now there a hole in the fuel tank..

they are the two gold tubes.. do both of them attach to a single grommet back to the tank?
