The only issue with a thumb throttle is you have to get a cable with the thumb end so it fits right.

Spraying lube on the grip to put it on is a bad idea as it will make the grip slip. The lube will never dry

When putting grips on just use soap and water or spit.
Hair spray works too, but when it dries it glues the grips in place.

Not true. Use WD-40 to put some grips on, wait 2 minutes and you'll be forced to use your compressor to get them back off again.

You ignore the fact that not everyone has a compressor, then you assume that everyone wants a thumb throttle and a duel brake lever. I don't want either of those things. "Great video of what not to do when changing grips" You also apparently missed the purpose of the video and how it was recorded. This was a modification to a throttle that I never did before. Instead of hiding the mistakes, I recorded while I was figuring out how to do it. The purpose is to help convince people that their best bet is to just cut the grip off of the other tube and be done with it.
