If you want to have a wild O check out the 1911 Marvel motorcycle on google. There are 4 gorgeous pix to drool over. I think it uses a Monarck-type transverse torsion fork spring as near as I can tell. KW

That has to be one of the coolest things I have ever seen.

The large frame tubes of the 1911 MARVEL doubled as gas& oil reservoirs,it had a 500 cc OHV engine with large valves (for the period), a single pushrod operated both valves and it had a splash lubrication in which the oil level was automatically controlled.It would outperform many twins of that period.
