Spokeless wheels, 26inch ALLOY "TUFFS"

Does that mean that these wheel's bearing should hold up fine? From what I can tell most bikes use a regular ball bearing?

Yeah, should be fine. Just be careful putting tension on the bearings so they dont bind up when installing.

When I get my set of wheels, I'll pull the bearings out and take a look at them to see if I need to upgrade them to something with higher precision.

no i havent had a look at them yet i emailed the seller in china he did send me some mounting advise here his email to me

I hope you can try to find the skewers at local bike shops. If you can't or they are too expensive, do you want me to send them to you for the total price, US$22.00.(including the postage)? By the way, I can send you the instruction as follows first:
Note 1 : Please have the rims installed at a
better bike shop. You had better not
DIY unless you are good at bike
installment with enough tools.

Note 2 : ( For 8/9 Gears Only) Outside the cassette are
nine fillisters ( one space of the fillisters
is wider than the others), only
single-direction rotation.
Please make sure to match
the fillisters with your rear
freewheel well.
Please be sure to use the electric
screwdriver, not your hand
to tighten the screw bolted into
the screw thread of the
cassette after the last piece of disc freewheel is
installed. Otherwise it will affect
the rim wobble if the screw is
loose. .
Note 3: After you mount the tires, please
inflate the tire only 1/3, press
the air in the tire averagely, and
then inflate fully.
Note 4: Before riding, please be sure
to adjust fixed position of the
front and rear derailleurs lest
the chain should drop off the
freewheel to break the hub edge.

They are not worth money but if you want to put them to bike you need to change axle on this one:http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=24904
This one fits perfectly (don't know why - I just risk and bough it, compared with old one - they are the same).
You have also drill holes to fit sprocket in place of disk brake. I rethread holes to M6 size.

Got my mag wheels in the mail this morning. They look pretty nice & look like they will work fine. I've taken a bunch of photos and some video of them to post up.

In the package, I got both wheels, two quick release axles, a 10mm adapter axle to allow me to fit this to my mb, and a 36 tooth sprocket for the engine drive side.

I ended up getting the 36 tooth speed sprocket instead of a 44 or 48 tooth like i wanted, but no biggie. I have 3 44 tooth sprockets here and have already marked one up to drill out the bolt pattern on the drill press. I'm going to see if I can get this together today & will post up my progress as it happens.

As far as I'm concerned, i have no problems with the guy I ordered this from. Shipping was reasonably fast for such a bulky item and the parts are all in new condition. The wheels appear to be true, bearings are made in Japan and roll smoothly. The freewheel mechanism feels nice too. I can tell the 36 tooth sprocket was drilled out as one of the holes is just a hair off, but thats an easy thing to fix if I wanted to use the speed sprocket.

Ok, here are the photos of everything as I received it:

Here is the adapter axle compared as compared to the stock axle in the wheel:

A closeup of the bearings. Made in Japan.

Bearings are part number 6200RS, which cooincidentally Boca Bearing even sells a ceramic sealed bearing replacement for this one: So, to put the argument to bed, these bearings are perfectly SAFE for bicycle use.. especially considering they are currently used by other high end bicycles.

The disc mounting flange, which looks pretty decent:

Width of the wheel compared to my thumb. Its a hair thinner than my current wheels, but should work fine.

Freewheel mechanism & cassette mount:

Inside of the freewheel end. The junk you see in there is grease:

Here are the parts that came with the wheels. Two quick release axles, a 36 tooth sprocket, and adapter axle:

Here you can see the sprocket was drilled out by hand. No biggie.. the bolt pattern is close enough you could enlarge one of the holes a little and it would fit fine. Appears to line up true with the wheel.

Here is an 8 meg Quicktime video of the wheel in motion. I was trying to hold it as still as possible. You can see that it runs pretty darn true:

Got the wheel together with my cassette on it, new axle in, etc, but I ran into a problem with tire width.

I'll need to find a narrower tire to use on these wheels, as my MTB tires are too wide.

Its at least a start. The chain drive looks like it'll line up at least, so that is good.

So, anyone know where to get a narrow 26" MTB tire?
