Question about reed valve

Does the reed valve petals or whatever they are called supposed to have a piece of plastic film over each one?

It's the one that came with the wc80 racing motor from cmb, when I get home from work I'll take a picture.

It's the part where the 2 petals go into the intake, they have like a see thru plastic film over each one but I'll take some pictures later.

Ok these ain't the one, just a pic of Amazon but looks the same, there's a thin plastic paper like over each petal, didn't know if that was normal or just a protective cover till installed
