How to get the magneto off

Trying to realign the magneto, but it won’t come off. How do I take it out?

If you still have the nut, put it back on the shaft to where it is covering the end of the threads, put a screwdriver behind the magneto, pry with the screwdriver and tap the nut with a hammer

No luck

Take the stator off (coil with 2 arms around the magnet) and that will give you more room to get behind it. You will have better luck if you gently work at it from more than one side. Are you 100% certain the engine is at top dead center? The key should be at 1 O'clock.

It is. I think something happened when the magneto nut fell off while running & then seized the motor
