To restrict lateral movement of the bracket that champs to the chainstay(and holds the chain-tensioner) i brazed a 6mm nut to the outside,so when u tighten the bolt it presses firmly(not ridiculously tight) against the chainstay.

How excactly did you braze that threaded lug onto the chainstay Fetor? Was the lug threaded before you brazed it on?

This isn't necessary but i did it anyway to improve more things while i was there....i took the the chain tensioner bracket off my old 2-stroke cos it's better(4mm thickness instead of 3mm)
I then drilled a 6.5mm hole through that bracket & placed a 6mm nut on top(securing the two together with a smaller diameter nut & bolt) & brazed the base of the 6mm nut to the bracket(using a Burnzomatic with MAPP gas)
Spray painted the bracket black & job done...........tested it;it'll hold the effing Queen Mary. :D
