6.5HP Bicycle Pusher Trailer

Omfg Wicked Horsepower!!!!

I DID IT!!! I just removed the 3600RPM limiter from the engine after some mods today. HOLY $#!&!#% it revvs so high now and takes off and backfires a bit too!

I may need to try premium gas at those RPMs..

I took it for a test drive tonight and it was WICKED!!! It felt faster than the old 50mph gearing I had before, but I still have the 40mph ratio so it had more acceleration. Now with no limits it's LOUD and SCARY!!! OMG!! This thing felt stupid-fast, hehehehe I'm just dying to do a speed check again!

The engine is rated STOCK:
6.5HP @ 3600RPM with the intake cover on
I'm wondering with the open intake and 5000RPM+revs if I'm making more like 8-10 HP now...........

I hope I don't blow the engine getting carried away. Does anyone here know what's safe to run these stock Lifan Honda-Clone motors at?

This is too much fun for a bicycle!!! :devilish:

SOUPED-UP MOTORED BIKES RULE!!!!

As for the updated pictures, I'm waiting for my mother to email the pics I took with her camera (mine is broken) and I will post them to show the new mods to the frame

I can't look... I just can't look! If my son ever does something like this I'll kill him.

50mph being chased by a pressure washer! Oh my GOD!!!

I recommend that you visit a karting forum for recommendations on how to properly disable the governor, and what the reasonable rpm limits are for a "bone stock" Lifan clone. Lots of karting fanatics find that the Honda GX clones are an inexpensive, yet reliable source of racing engines.

On another note though, I would recommend not driving your bike so fast on public roads. I keep my speeds at about 15-20mph, and the cops don't give me second look. If I feel the need to go faster, I'll just hop on my motorcycle. Riding a bicycle at those speeds is past my personal risk level and you will eventually run into problems with local law enforcement.

UPDATED PICTURES!!!

I uploaded some new pics to the picture gallery! My trailer with the NEW hitch and frame upgrades! Also a gas skateboard I'm working on, and also a bike trailer from 1893.

It's looking good and running GREAT!!! I still have to get a video on YouTube but that will be in the near future.

So, I gotta ask...

What's in the bag?
And how does the skateboard handle? Especially off-road.

The backpack (est 30lbs) has extra parts (bolts, bearings, belts, springs, clutch parts, etc) and also tools, like multiple size wrenches, vise-grips, screwdrivers, also WD-40, Motor Oil, Fast Orange pumice handsoap, water bottle, lighters, and flashlights. I also have a spare tire under the backpack. I keep what I need with me on my long trips. I break axle bolts (locks the wheels to the axle) every so often, so I keep spares. I camped out one day way out of the county, and caught and cooked frogs at night, and had everything I needed to make a fire.

Now the skateboard belongs to a friend, I've never rode on it powered yet because the old engine was broken, and I'm putting a new 26cc 4-stroke on it. It rides good on grass and dirt while coasting however. It has 9 inch tires on it. It has the same size rims my bike trailer has, so I could easily put 10 inch tires on it if I wanted to.
