Front Wheel Drive

Here is a Motor bike I snapped together on a old Roadmaster.
It has a Power Products AH47 and Whizzer Type Sheeve with Belt Drive.
It moves along pretty good and the fork can be pulled out and put on another
bike in a snap.

It really is quite elegant and simple. I don't know why I spend so much time faffing around while other more adventuresome folk just go and get on with it. I must be getting old or something (sigh).

thats a great design, i like the front wheel drive design, & the idea of switching forks to another bike. does anyone know if you can do that setup with a gebe engine, drive ring & belt, would everything clear?

50sville,
I love this bike you built.
I am fond of front wheel drive & belt drive.
My question to you is about gearing.
Looks like a 3" pulley clutch & a 15" whizzer sheave & a 26" wheel.
How is your acceleration?
What is your top speed?
Is that a ~3600 rpm motor or higher?
Thanks

cool old school setup. you should put an old metal cylender style tank instead of the plastic one. Id be afraid of something going wrong and the front wheel locking up. thats just me though :) nice bike

I have not looked in on this Forum for awhile making this evening a treat for me. Built it yourself, handles good, simple and an engine test bed on top of that. Pretty clever fellow I must say.

I am seeing projects tonight that are very neat and this is one.

Thank you for sharing this project with us. By the way, have you discovered a favorite engine you can tell us about?

Best Regards

Will Snow
