I'm looking at engine kits now on Ebay and i'm wondering what exactly the difference between a 48cc and a 70cc engine is. I heard the top speed is about the same but the 70cc's engines break down eaiser. help deciding please?

:cool:Need help differentiating between these engines?

Read ALL pertinent threads in this forum.

I've got both an 80cc and a 48 cc The 48 cc [ new ] is a real slug,
I hope it breaks in before I die of boredom ! The 80 cc [ broken in ] is a rocket ship in comparison to the 48. The 80cc had a very tight clutch, which limited power. Now that it's broken in, the clutch works smoother, and torque greatly increased, starting is easier, when new, the rear wheel would almost drag until the engine fired, pedaling was a joke, now pedals like it should. The 48cc clutch seems OK, pedals OK too, so I'm wondering if I'll see the power increase after break in.
