Thread: how much speed?

    Default how much speed?

    OK, this time I bought a somewhat more decent motor. It's made for e-scooter - 24V 300W. Also have 25amp controller for it. The question would be, how much speed should I expect from it, and how fast/slow should I make transmission.
    Right now the motor has 11tooth sprocket and I plan using 55teeth rear sprocket (because I have it). I made some calculations and it seems that at max rpm (3200) the speed would be ~40mph?, using 16'' moped wheels.
    The rear sprocket is already pretty big dish, I guess there's no point making it bigger...two-stage transmission?
