What are the laws on it does anybody know?

From what I understand, anything under 50cc or 200w can be legally ridden without licence or registration... that's the case at the moment, at least in New South Wales, though I hear this is on the books to be changed (if it hasn't already) in Victoria.... which, if passed, will only flow on to other states

there is a grey area . 49cc has more than 200 watts . so its agaist the law
