Default Clutch problems ! Heeeelp :)

    Hi ladies and gents,

I've run into a problem when running my bike. It's all installed and set up, but after about 5 miles of riding, the motor spins and the clutch only makes a nasty whine sound, or a loud shinging sound.

What could be causing that and what do you guys recommend I do to fix it?

Thanks for any help and advice,

    Jay

You're saying it works fine until after you run it awhile?

Perhaps you got some oil or grease contamination on the clutch face, and after it warms up the contamination becomes more slippery? Try cleaning the clutch surfaces with some brake cleaner, let us know how it goes.

    Default Update

Hey all. I've given the suggestions a try but am still running into the same problem.

I've checked everything and have found there is looseness between the primary gear, and the bolt that secures it to the crankshaft. Normally, tighting this bolt will secure it snugly, but it is not working. Any suggestions?

if that shaft or gear is roached, i'd think it'd be indicated if you roll the bike, clutch-engaged, spark-plug in, and observe. have you done that?
