Gotta keep the electrical sealed & dry.

Of all the luck. I felt it go tight and broke off when trying to back it off. Should have ran a die across the powder coated threads. This might be the worst kit ever. Almost didn't get the clutch cover screw out because it too was powder coated.

Since that stud broke, I guess you have to get it spot welded or replace the tank, huh?
I had a flaky idea to mount one by JB Welding some industrial velcro to the top tube and inside the tunnel, but my frame was too wide.
How wide is your top tube where the tank goes?

You gotta admit, it would be clean clean clean. A big piece of velcro would take a real strong tug to pull off. It would hold good enough, I bet.
At least until somebody dumps it. Then your butt could be on fire, but that could happen anyway. ;)

Back in Business. Drilled out the old stud, found an old bolt with the same thread pitch and brazed it in place. Passed the leak test, paint should be dry this morning.
