Anyone have a solution to these clutch cable neutral buttons on these 2 stroke china doll kits? they just dont lock very well..anykind of after market one that is better? or can it be modified?

Dia-Compe makes locking brake levers that are fairly decent, you can buy them by the set on ebay for around $35. Other than that, anything that fits 7/8ths bars will work, so all the locking brake levers available for ATVs should fit. You can probably find something like that for around $10 if you look hard enough.
 
some lock too far back, so the lever needs to come out & get filed down a tiny bit

some lock to early, so the mount needs to be filed a bit to allow the lever to sit further forward

proper clutch grip depends on the distance between the lock point & the release point - not enough diff between these gives a slippy clutch, too much diff gives a lever that hits the handlebar so that it is hard to release it
