Dirty spark plugs? don't buy a new one yet

when parts were expensive & labor cheap, spark plugs were worth cleaning (there were even some rebuildable plugs in which electrodes could be replaced)

on a back shelf, I still have an old spark plug cleaner that consists of a small bag of sand with an air compressor fitting and a socket to stick the plug in and clean it good as new (it's back where all the old, curved points files are)

who would bother these days tho with plugs in the $2 range

Iridiums are much more expensive and worth every dollar. I wish I had a plug cleaner other than my exacto knife.
