The Chinese kit comes also in black with black muffler
A. It's cheaper for some reason
B. It's more modern looking
C. Nobody seems to be having it, why?
D. Seems that it may chip off but it's easy to spray it over from time to time

What's the verdict ?

the ones I see are always higher in price (enough that I often paint my own)

have seen some that had steel intake that can't be painted, so they took it off to paint motor and got paint on the piston

black looks better on the bike, but hides the minor oil leaks that warn of gaskets needing tightening

Yes you are right
Black kits a bit more expensive
But I will opt for a black one since it should look good as far as I am concerned
Another quick question is about the muffler. Is there any solution to make it really quiet and not sounding like a farmer's chainsaw ??

Did you know the japs used 2 strokes as air raid sirens in the big one, only took 4 of them to cover all of Tokyo.
