"Indian" motorbikes at Cook's Corner

I spotted these two "old" motorbikes at Doug Johnson's 2-Stroke Extravaganza.
They were very interesting and very artfully done.
 
very cool, I love the copper fuel line and the intake on the second one.
 
All are very cool and would be street legal in my state. Aren't the 2nd and 3rd the same bike?

Wow the bottom one is basically what I want to start building. I think it's called a crank case, the thing below the engine on the bottom one? What exactly is it and why doesn't the top one have it?

The original bikes from that time period had a round crankcase at the bottom of the engine where the internal parts rotated. In these photos, they chose to imitate that on the one with the red tires but not on the other. Both very well done. This is one that I finished a month or so ago.
