My first CUSTOM build

Ok, so I see everyone building their bike I figured I'd start my own build thread in hopes that I can get some good feedback and if anything ideas on where to go with everything. Here is a pic of the jig I setup and the bike sitting in roughly the place it will stand once done. This is a one off build and will be built with chromoly tubing, a pit bike engine, and a jackshaft assembly similar to what I have seen on the motopeds.com build and sickbikeparts jackshaft setup. What I have on order that should be here in a few days: exhaust, handle bars, sprockets for wheel and jack shaft, and disk brakes. What I have now: head tube, wheels and tires, engine, seat, track ends, throttle, carb, (air filter on order). What was custom made: the rear hub which is a dual disk rear from Phil Woods..This will give me disk brakes and bolt holes for the sprocket on either side of the hub. Tires are Hookworms and Halo SAS rims with a Halo Spin doctor from hub...using a Manitou Circus front fork(really stout little fork for the price)..Using a Cane Creek headset and the head tube is a 44mm 4130 tube from paragon machine works. Whats needed: tubing(measurments for tubing), 3/4" shaft for sprockets to ride on, a custom made bottom bracket or I might decide to go with SBP wide bottom bracket setup but not sure if will be wide enough for what I need(if anyone has exact measurements of how wide it is after pedals installed that would be awesome)

Now let me know your feedback..PLEASE!! 20131229_193439.jpg

Reminds me of the sunoco cafe racer from occ with that curved backbone. Looks good.

well more pics will be coming soon. can anyone comment on strength of M5 bolts for bolting on a sprocket to a disk hub mount while using a motorized bicycle

Just some pics to keep this going

Not sure what you mean by "sen" but the hub is a dual disk hub. Has a mount on one side for rotor and the other side for a sprocket. Will post more pics tomorrow when I have handle bars in.. still working on pedal placement and jackshaft but need sprockets first. hopefully get those by Friday

Ok. here is some pics of the handle bar and throttle I got in and the stem..Hopefully my sprockets will be here in a few days so that I can finally mock up my jackshaft and mount the rear wheel sprocket. What do you guys think about doing a double down tube from head tube to rear swing arm to use the two tubes to help mount the engine?? The swing arm is still giving me a kink but hopefully will have a crazy jig piece setup so that I can set seat height. Should also help me decide on the down tube(s)...I'm hoping the weekend I will have everything ironed out and have more foam pieces mocked up for a final so that I can start ordering my tubing. Will probably get a erw tubing for the pre-production and then buy the chromoly so that I don't waste good chromoly if I have to make adjustments but then again who knows..maybe I will feel comfortable enough that I will just go with it.

i meant "keen to see how u mount sprocket to the hub" sorry my bad but yea mate that looks amazing, thats gonna have some serious power

Sprockets are in

Ok, wanted to keep this going. I have been working on my jackshaft setup which mimics motopeds build (no I am not selling or am I associated with motoped bikes or builders). OK now that is out of the way here is where I am at. I had been looking at atomic zombies piece for how they mounted a disk to a 3/4 shaft and this is where I came up with the idea
. Sad part is I would have bought their setup but they have not been I'm stock for a verrrrrryyyyy long time and trying to get someone to make one locally would run me over $300 for two of these so instead I said "quit being lazy amd just make one yourself"..so I used some old acetyl rod to mock it up and here it is..have my aluminum on order to make these myself. Total cost is about $20 for metal..the rest is just my time..so in the end I will have saved at least $50 on everything. Any money saved is a penny earned. Joshua97 here is how the rear sprocket mounts to my custom Phil Wood Hub.
