Can you leagealize a motered bike into a legal moped?

Could you legalize a motored bike into a legal moped? Why or why not, or does anyone have no clue like me? I live in the state of New Jersey so information in that area would be helpful. THANKS!

I know that in jersey you need a title, to register the moped and have insurance, that could present problems with a motorized bicycle. I'm not sure how the dmv would handle it, it might be a good idea to give them a call. If you can, they might require a headlight, tail light, brake light and horn.

just read the leagel stuff on the bikes for Jersy but if I rember correctley a fedral court stated that the motorised bikes where legal I know it is on this site some where......Sherrie might need to take a copy of that letter to the local DMV.
