engine on recumbent?

i was looking at how the engines are mounted in the triangle of most diamond frames and was wondering if anyone has mounted one on a recumbent? i only have about 6 5/8 inches between my top tube and bottm tube but my pedals are far away from the rear wheel. i have a cycle genius LTX just in case any one has done one.

I understand there is a "group" of recumbent riders in NY who are mainly using the 35 cc for Adirondak riding......
