They pop out fairly easily, don't worry about re-using them, as they are junk. Like Big Red says, go easy on the surfaces, very important. Get new seals from bikeberry or other reputable dealer, they have seals made in Taiwan that are better than the **** on ebay. Carefully install them, sometimes they are a bugger to seat without cocking the lip, that'll take care of it.

The magneto side seal is 14.8 X 27 X 3.8 MM. The clutch side is the same, except it is thicker, @ 7.5 MM. There is someone on another forum experimenting with quality double-lipped seals that measure 15 X 27 X 7 and 15 X 27 X 5. Some say they won't seal, but I think I'm going to try them, as the machining tolorances on the shaft can be off enough to make .2 MM difference moot. I like the peace of mind using higher quality parts, and these seals are critical to engine life, and difficult to change.

well I will like to try them if there better. But I will buy a regular one for now to get it going.I got lucky the old one was chewed up pretty good and it came out pretty good.I think people should really go through a new engine really good.I have had it for awhile but never got it running because of the centrifugal clutch had to mount it higher for it to clear.

Oh I went to take it a part to get the old seal out and the magneto was cover in gas oil on the back of it.So it's probably going to burn out too.Went to take magnet off and to find there no key way on crank shaft.I wish I would of got it going a lot sooner I would have sent it back.I know now what a lot of you people say in here go over them really good and change hardware.
