friction drive roller size
I am using a 25cc weed wacker with a 20 inch wheel.
I was using a 1 inch aluminum peg until it broke then I installed a
1.25 inch peg because the mount for the 1 inch was broken.
now it has no power..
Does anyone know how to install a 1 inch or even smaller spindle of
some sort to the 25 cc homelite.?

Ratdog:
On ebay there are aluminum bike pegs with a 3/8" threaded i.d. Your 25cc
homey probably has a 1/4" threaded shaft. I took a thin bit of alu. sheet,
curled it around a screw driver, and inserted it bushing fashion into the peg.
I then threaded down snug onto the shaft. It works great.
The trick is to make a small rectangle 1/2" wide by a length that matches the
inside diameter of the peg. Since aluminum is fairly maliable, just about any bit
a 1/16" thick or so can be hammered to the desired thickness from which to
snip the rectangle. Just make sure the pegs you buy have been milled from
bar stock. The extruded pegs have voids and will not work.

P.S.
If you get pegs designated as childrens' pegs the diameter will
be 7/8" to 1" which is a good ratio for hills, better pickup, and
fat old men like me.
