Default Nice custon MB at NAHBS

I was lucky enough to get a day at the 2011 North American Handmade Bicycle show held at the end of last month. Among all the incredible custom cut lug work, fillet brazing and carbon fiber on display at the show, I thought this was very interesting in regards to MBs. There has usually been an eBike or two represented but this is the first ICE I can remember seeing at the show.

The engine is a rehabbed Puch 50 moped engine.

That's pretty cool. I like the gas tank mount.

Look at the size of that chain-ring!!!!! (talk about high speed pedal assist!!)

Did you notice how many speeds in the rear hub?

IIRC is was a Nexus 8 speed hub. And yes, that tall chain ring stood out. The builders were saying it was built ostensibly for motor-pacing training for road cyclists

Yeah I did notice the "yarder". Finding tires must be a treat, they're basically unicycle wheels. Paying for them is another matter, tubes are $29 and tires run $80 each
