Hammerhead Trike
I just rolled this out of the garage for a couple short test rides.
Rides nice... tracks straight.
Tomorrow I work out a few more details & spill some paint on it.

That is a unique design Dave. You can't get much more stable than that. I want to see it with cargo and paint.
That baby would take up 4 spaces at the bike rack at the market.

I can't take credit for the design.... I stole it from our "Zomby" friends.
Yes, it does seem really stable. I even leaned it up on two wheels on some corners. What a hoot.Dave ♂

new pics
All powered up and rolling down the road. Rides & handles nice.
about 50 miles so far. (so good -- *knocks wood* )
48cc grubee from 2005 -- new rings & wristpin bushing.
48t rear sprocket & garage door chain.
Temporary cargo basket.
The ammo can is going to clean up nicely.

I'm still very cautious in the turns.... leaning in helps.
Funny, though...... I can pull it up on two wheels and lean thru corners Like a normal 2-wheeler.Dave ♂

I saw a video of a similar design about 7-8 months back, with the rider doing some very tight circles at spreed - as you say, one front wheel completely off the ground.
Nice cargo bike, I think."People are the only mirror we have to see ourselves in. The domain of all meaning. All virtue, all evil, are contained only in people. There is none in the universe at large." - Cordelia Naismith

Nice cargo set up Dave. If you were to guess, how much weight would the front end hold loaded with goodies?

Today, I stuffed that crate with groceries...guessing close to 25 lbs.
I've got an idea for much more cargo capacity. I'll do a mock-up with some pics soon.
I'm looking at hauling the equivalent of a 56 qt. cooler, in all that open space, under the front end. I'll have a nice low center of gravity & beef up the front cross-member at the same time.
stay tuned...........Dave ♂
