Default Bike Stolen and Recovered **Milwaukee, Wisconsin people please keep and eye out**

My friend had me put together a bike for him last year and he's been riding it almost everyday, he loves that thing almost as much as his Harley. But yesterday he left his garage door open after mowing the lawn and it was stolen. Just like that...

This thread can be removed, but someone tried to steal my neighbors bike (Down the block) and we found it. It was outside of his fence and down a hill, out of sight. Looks like it was dragged and just dumped there.

Having that happen seems worse than having it full out stolen.

Needless to say he is chaining it to his Harley and double locking the garage.

I agree, happy endings to bike thefts are kind of rare!

    Glad it was recovered!

Thanks for the heads up! I'm happy your friend got it back. My garage opens onto an alley so everyone in the neighborhood knows where the guy with the bike lives and I'm sure if it were left unattended even for a minute or two the bikes would disappear. I'm putting signs on my garage doors and the gates "Beware...Guard dog on duty" OR a sign that says "this property guarded by a crabby old man with a shotgun 4 nights a week, you guess which nights"
I hope the thief will soon get caught, he richly deserves a butt kicking.

anybody else just bring their MB into the house? I live in an apartment building, no garage, and not a lot to chain it to outside... but I don't think that my landlord would like it if I bring it inside... basement for the winter might be OK because I think that is where the lawn mower must live during the winter...

I don't have the MB yet (the bike arrives in a couple days, motor kit next week) but I am thinking this stuff out now

I keep my MB and 2 minibikes in the garage locked together
with a 1" cable through the frames and wheels, and I live in
a nice area of town. But if they wana try, let um deal with that!
