    Anybody out there have experience with this set up??
    This really looks like the ultimate set up.
    NuVinci hub
    Honda 50
    engine is geared
    pedals are geared
    ability to do roller or disc brake off the hub.

    Other then difficulty of changing rear tire...(and price) can it get any better?

    this is my current set up. i think itd kick the a$$ of the honda 50.

    I have a tandem with a Honda 50 friction drive itching to switch to a nuvinci...
    Is is worth it?

    on all accounts id have to say yes. with such small motors and such narrow power bands it's a totally different experience being able to have absolute control of the power you have. ive put nearly 800 miles on mine and i dont think ill build another bike any other way. ive had a friction drive and will never go back.
