    Default 10 speed to recumbent project

    ok, i am trying to convert my bike to a recumbent, till i can buy an actual recumbent. these are the bikes im going to use, and ill be switching that front wheel to a 16 inch its all in the vids. all i had to do was air up the tires.

    Tater, since both frames have the side pull brakes, perhaps you could try doubling up the back ones. Replace the bolt with a piece of allthread, and have a brake mounted on each side of the frame tube. Just a thought.

    good idea, thanks van!, i am making a few changes to the plans though. for instance, instead of killing myself trying to finding a 20 inch wheel with a 6 inch stem im just gonna attach a 20 inch wheel, or posibly a 16. (all the newer bikes have 5 inch stems.) and insted of hunting down a 5 thousand foot stem for the bars, im gonna use some old ape hangers. these things are easy to change, if they dont work out.

    i thought is get your guy's opinon. i think this is a bit too cramped. i know it can get longer, and should with the cranks, but i think its a little too.... level. lol what to yall think? oh what do ya think of the fender? lol i took lotts a pics, cause it was dark. thats me on the bike, i had to hold my leg up lol thats why i look stupid

    Way to go Tater. But I'm sorry, that just does not look like a recumbent to me.

    not really. lol but, its no weight on my ankles. so im happy. the next part is the easy part. i hate it when i spend all day doing somthing, then when i look it it its like, that should have taken 5 minutes lol
