Yeah, a lot of mower size engines don't look near that big with the shroud off and other things removed esp the gas tank. Removing the shroud and pulley cover may affect engine cooling though, but since the bike would be moving its probably less a problem than for a generator or mower.

Hi Lou, you mentioned trying to work up a drive system for the Harbor Freight 79cc engine. Have you come up with anything yet that you'd be interested in sharing? BTW, your info on CVT's is very informative. Thank you much!

I'm considering buying a Staton friction drive kit and noticed that you have had one for awhile. How has it worked out for you? I live in a place that has almost no rain so I think it will work ok for me. I do have hills so I might go with the 7/8" roller. I weigh 168 lbs. Thnks in advance for any info.
