Hey! Re: Your Pictures! I am looking to build mostly the same bike! You can see my post in the introductions forum... http://www.motoredbikes.com/showthread.php?t=22245 I am looking at building from the frame up, so I would appreciate any advise or thoughts. Hopefully my post makes sense. My biggest concern was with the strength of the frame and the folder. I was going to go with the MX frame, which I think is mostly the same. My hope was to get a hub front wheel built custom from GEBE and and also use rim brakes, extra long and fat... and asking Staton to build the rear wheel with a better spoke design than they typically use! Any thoughts on that issue? I guess my biggest question has to do with the bike's ability to climb hills, powered only. At least at some times, I will want to have the bike do most of the powering for my commute to work (several times a week). It is a steep, paved grade, with switchbacks for several miles (like, 10). I would never want to go full speed, even in a car, but I do want to make a comfortable and reasonably timed ascent! I really appreciate your comments! It might be tough for me to test ride any of these things! My best, and thanks for posting your pictures, James
Hi: I have the bike all apart. Bought the brake things for the tank. I am looking for more parts today. Will make the tank tommorrow. Next week will get the dyno/brake hub installed. Gotta get the proper taps today for the tank. looks like 3/8-24 and 10-24 taps. What did you use for the westcoast chopper on the side of your engine? Is it a sticker, ashtray. I can't seem to find it and I would like to do the same. thanks Darcy
How is it going on the Switchblade?
